The Eastern Reservoir

Lavi-Natif Consulting Engineers designed the Eastern Reservoir, including earthworks, sealing, concrete works, pumping stations, chlorination facilities, and electricity and control room (in collaboration with an electrical engineer).

The Eastern Reservoir was inaugurated in 2005. It has a capacity of 5 million cubic meters, the largest in the country for effluent water.

Its water resources include:

Effluents of Emek Hefer.
Effluents of Tul-Karm and Nablus, in the West Bank.
A considerable amount of water comes from floodwater that is pumped from floods in Nahal Alexander and Nahal Shchem.
Also, the reservoir supports the transfer of water north, to the Menashe Regional Council, the Nadiv Valley, and Hof HaCarmel.
